**Trump Discusses Eliminating Income Taxes on Joe Rogan's Podcast**

Former President Donald Trump has hinted at the possibility of replacing income taxes with tariffs during an appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast. The exchange took place on Rogan’s popular show, "The Joe Rogan Experience," where Trump also advocated for his broad tariff strategy and lauded the economic policies of the late 19th century.

In the interview, Rogan queried Trump on his stance regarding income taxes and tariffs, to which Trump responded affirmatively. Using historical references, Trump cited the economic prosperity of the 1880s and 1890s and praised President William McKinley, who was known for his tariff policies, before criticizing the introduction of income taxes in the early 1900s.

Trump reiterated his plan to implement a uniform tariff rate of either 10% or 20% on all imports to the United States, with a significantly higher tariff of 60% specifically targeting Chinese imports. This proposal, he believes, would stimulate American manufacturing.

Additionally, Trump expressed his belief that internal threats pose a greater danger to the United States than foreign adversaries like North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. He mentioned that, during his tenure as president, he maintained a smooth relationship with Kim and emphasized that having a competent president would prevent issues with North Korea.

Trump has often vocalized his opinion that certain individuals within the United States, including political figures like Democratic Representatives Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi, are more harmful than external threats. He elaborated on this during the podcast, referring to these individuals as "the enemy from within."

The podcast episode marks a significant shift from Rogan's earlier stance, as Rogan had previously declined to host Trump on his show multiple times. Despite his initial refusal, Rogan had recently come under attack from Trump for praising Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential candidate, though Rogan clarified this was not an endorsement.

Following the podcast recording in Texas, Trump attended a rally in Michigan where he arrived hours late, attributing the delay to the extended interview. During his rally speech, he made remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris, who was attending an event in Texas focused on reproductive rights, featuring music icon Beyoncé.

Trump's interview on "The Joe Rogan Experience" and the subsequent rally underscore his ongoing efforts to re-enter the political arena while advocating bold economic reforms.
