Former President Donald Trump rallied his supporters on Saturday in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, taking aim at Vice President Kamala Harris' economic policies. Addressing the crowd at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township, Trump accused Harris of implementing "radical liberal policies" that have led to a surge in inflation.

During his speech, Trump highlighted the impact of Harris' policies on the economy, stating that they have caused "horrific inflation" and have left the American people devastated. He criticized Harris and her team, calling them "grossly incompetent" and claiming that their actions have resulted in a significant decrease in real incomes, amounting to over $2,000 per year for the average household.

Trump went on to assert that the price hikes caused by Harris' policies have cost a typical household a staggering total of $28,000, which he referred to as the "Kamala Harris inflation tax." He underscored that this economic burden has been especially burdensome for the attendees of his rally.

The former president's remarks came just a day after Harris unveiled her own economic proposals. The rally also came on the heels of a recent survey conducted by The New York Times and Siena College, which found Harris leading Trump in the crucial battleground states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

In addition to gaining traction in the traditional blue wall states, Harris has also made significant inroads in the swing states of the Sun Belt, according to new polling data from The New York Times and Siena College released on Saturday.

However, Trump still holds an advantage on two key issues, as indicated by a recent poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. The poll showed that Trump is seen as having a stronger stance on the economy and immigration.

While Trump made his case against Harris in Pennsylvania, the vice president herself is planning to campaign in the state this weekend. Pennsylvania is a crucial swing state, offering a significant number of electoral college votes up for grabs in the upcoming fall elections.

As the race for the White House heats up, both Trump and Harris are actively engaging with voters in key battleground states, highlighting their divergent economic policies and perspectives, which will undoubtedly shape the narrative of the upcoming election.
