Former President Donald Trump stirred controversy at two events in Washington, DC, where he criticized Jewish voters for their lack of support and warned of the consequences of not re-electing him in 2024. Trump asserted that Jewish voters could be responsible if he loses the election, as he claimed to have the backing of 40 percent of American Jewish voters.

During his speeches, Trump emphasized his support for Israel and accused Jewish Americans of putting themselves in danger by not voting for him. Trump expressed dismay over Jewish voters favoring Vice President Kamala Harris over him, citing Pew Research Center's survey showing 65 percent of Jewish voters preferring Harris for president.

Asserting himself as a staunch ally of Israel, Trump warned of dire consequences if Harris were to be elected, claiming that her presidency would lead to Israel's potential annihilation. He criticized Harris and the Democrats for what he perceived as their lack of action in protecting Israel and the Jewish community, particularly amidst conflicts in the region. Trump also targeted Harris, who is married to a Jewish man, as being "anti-Israel" and "anti-Jewish."

Additionally, Trump took the opportunity to highlight his administration's pro-Israel policies, including recognizing Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, endorsing Israel's annexation of the Golan Heights, and orchestrating the Abraham Accords to establish diplomatic relations between Israel and some Gulf states. Despite his assertions, Trump's remarks have sparked debate and condemnation, especially within the Jewish community, as he continues to rally support for a potential return to the White House in the upcoming election.
