### Trump Appoints Key Campaign Advisors to Prominent White House Roles
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — President-elect Donald Trump has announced the inclusion of four key advisors from his presidential campaign into his incoming administration. These appointments, which were unveiled on Wednesday, position two longtime aides and the campaign’s political director into crucial roles as deputy chiefs of staff.
Dan Scavino, a veteran aide to Trump, will serve as a deputy chief of staff without a specified portfolio. Scavino, who was a senior advisor during Trump's campaign and previously served as the social media director during Trump's first White House term, began his association with Trump as a caddy at one of Trump's golf courses. Known for chronicling the campaign's journey on social media, he will now hold the rank of assistant to the president.
James Blair, who played a pivotal role as the campaign political director, has been named the deputy chief of staff for legislative, political and public affairs. Blair was also the political director for the Republican National Committee when Trump became the GOP nominee. His previous experience includes working on Trump’s 2020 campaign in Florida and serving as a key aide to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Taylor Budowich will take on the role of deputy chief of staff for communications and personnel. Prior to joining the campaign, Budowich was associated with the pro-Trump Super PAC, Maga Inc. Following Trump's previous tenure, Budowich served as his spokesman while working for Trump’s political action committee, Save America.
Trump said, "Dan, Stephen, James, and Taylor were 'best in class' advisors on my winning campaign, and I know they will honorably serve the American people in the White House. They will continue to work hard to Make America Great Again in their respective new roles."
Stephen Miller, an established figure in Trump's advisory circle, will assume the role of deputy chief of staff for policy and homeland security advisor. Miller has been a significant force behind many of Trump’s policy decisions, particularly on immigration. His appointment had already been confirmed by Vice President-elect JD Vance earlier in the week. Miller’s history with Trump dates back to his first White House campaign, where he served as a senior advisor and was instrumental in enacting stringent immigration policies, including the controversial family separation program in 2018.
These appointments mark a continuation of Trump's strategy to rely on trusted advisors from his campaign as he prepares to enter his new term in the White House, underscoring his commitment to his established agenda.
