**Trump Announces 100% Tariffs on Countries Replacing US Dollar**

In a bold move, President-elect Donald Trump announced on Saturday that his administration will impose 100% tariffs on countries attempting to replace the US dollar as the standard currency. The announcement came via a post on Truth Social, where Trump targeted the "BRICS Countries"—Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates—for their ongoing efforts to pivot away from the US dollar.

Trump demanded that these nations commit to not creating a new BRICS currency or adopting any other currency to rival the US dollar. "The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar while we stand by and watch is OVER,” he asserted. “We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy. They can go find another 'sucker!'"

The president-elect stressed that any country attempting to detach from US currency should consider its relationship with America void. "There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade, and any Country that tries should wave goodbye to America," Trump reiterated.

In a related development, Trump also mentioned his conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau earlier this week. The discussion focused on curbing drug smuggling across the border, as well as addressing other critical issues. This dialogue followed Trump's announcement of tariffs on all goods from Canada, Mexico, and China.

"Prime Minister Trudeau has made a commitment to work with us to end this terrible devastation of U.S. Families. We also spoke about many other important topics like Energy, Trade, and the Arctic. All are vital issues that I will be addressing on my first days back in Office, and before," Trump stated.
