### Trump and Harris Clash as Election Day Nears

In a closely contested race, former President Donald Trump emphasized his stance on border security, crime, and the economy, aiming to distinguish himself from his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. Speaking from his Mar-a-Lago resort on Tuesday, Trump accused Harris of dismantling the U.S. borders within her tenure. "In less than four years, Kamala Harris has obliterated our borders," Trump asserted. He further accused Harris of instigating chaos globally, stating, "No person who has caused so much destruction and death at home and abroad should ever be allowed to be president."

At the event, Trump reiterated unsubstantiated claims of election fraud, particularly targeting Pennsylvania, where polls suggest a tight race between him and Harris. He also claimed to be leading in all seven swing states, though current polls show them in a deadlock. Featuring families affected by crimes committed by illegal immigrants, Trump and the attendees attributed the presence of these immigrants in the U.S. to Harris and the Democrats. Additionally, Trump falsely suggested that other countries are sending criminals to the U.S. to reduce their own crime rates. Notably, border crossings from Mexico remain at levels similar to those during the end of Trump's presidency.

Furthermore, Trump linked Harris to an increase in violent crime rates, despite FBI data indicating a decrease. He also took personal credit for the recent stock market upturn, even though the economic recovery from the pandemic has accelerated under the Biden administration. This address came just a week before the final voting day, following a controversy involving a comedian at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally, whose derogatory comments about Puerto Rico sparked widespread outrage and bolstered support for Harris.

Trump's senior campaign adviser, Danielle Alvarez, quickly distanced the campaign from the comedian's remarks, emphasizing that they did not reflect Trump's views. Describing the atmosphere at the Madison Square Garden event as "breathtaking," Trump highlighted the "love for the country" felt during the rally. Despite widespread condemnation from Puerto Rican celebrities and politicians, Trump's running mate, Sen. JD Vance, downplayed the incident, expressing frustration over what he deemed excessive sensitivity in the country.

Prominent Puerto Rican figures, including megastar Bad Bunny, condemned the comedian's remarks and rallied behind Harris. Bad Bunny, who has 45 million Instagram followers, shared Harris' message pledging to create jobs and rebuild Puerto Rico's power grid. Other Puerto Rican artists followed suit, amplifying Harris' message.

Trump's campaign will continue with a rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania later in the day, while Harris is set to return to Washington's January 6 rally site to present her case to the voters.
