In a shocking incident near the Fashion District in Center City on Sunday night, a triple shooting has left one woman in critical condition. The Philadelphia police swiftly responded to multiple calls about the shooting around 11:30 p.m. Sunday near 11th and Ludlow Streets.

According to Philadelphia Police Captain Anthony Ganard, upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The most severely injured is a 42-year-old woman who was shot in the pelvis and arm. She was immediately rushed to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she is currently in critical condition.

Reports indicate that a 22-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were also shot in the incident. However, their injuries are less severe, with the man being shot in the knee and the woman sustaining a gunshot wound to her arm. Both victims are currently in stable condition.

During their initial investigation, officers discovered four shell casings near the crime scene, suggesting that multiple shots were fired. To assist in identifying the perpetrators, the police plan to review surveillance footage from the area.

Captain Ganard informed reporters that there was a prior altercation or dispute that led to the shooting. However, conflicting information has been received regarding the description of the shooters, making it challenging for authorities to establish a clear picture of the events leading up to the incident.

Sadly, this triple shooting is one of several violent incidents that occurred over the weekend in Philadelphia. On Saturday at around 9:40 p.m., a man was shot twice in the stomach on the 1000 block of West Hunting Park Avenue. He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

Later that night, around 50 minutes after the previous incident, police responded to a report of a "person with a weapon" on the 900 block of South 58th Street. In this case, four individuals were shot. Tragically, Keion Fisher, a 23-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. However, the three other victims, a man and two women, all 20 years old, are in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Further incidents unfolded when police were called to a shooting on South 62nd Street in Elmwood, shortly after 11 p.m. A 21-year-old man, as yet unnamed by authorities, was pronounced dead at Penn Presbyterian. Two other men, aged 22, were also hospitalized. Police have since taken a suspect into custody in relation to this shooting.

According to police data, as of Monday, Philadelphia has witnessed 103 homicides this year, representing a 38% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information about any of these incidents to come forward and cooperate with their ongoing investigations, as efforts continue to bring those responsible to justice and ensure the safety of the community.
