The tranquil town of Pawlet, located in Rutland County, Vermont, is reeling from a shocking incident that has left the community in grief. Vermont State Police have identified the victims of a gruesome triple homicide as Brian Crossman Sr., his wife Erica Pawlusiak Crossman, and Erica's 13-year-old son, Colin Taft.

According to authorities, the tragic event took place in the family's home on Sunday. Autopsies carried out by the Chief Medical Examiner's Office revealed that each victim had succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, leading investigators to rule the deaths as homicides.

These devastating revelations have plunged the close-knit community of Pawlet into mourning. Brian Crossman Sr., affectionately known as Brian, was not only a devoted husband and stepfather but also an active member of the Pawlet Selectboard. The meeting began with a solemn moment of silence in remembrance of the esteemed member. To honor Brian's memory, flowers gathered from personal gardens within the community adorned his seat at the board table.

Distraught community members expressed their admiration for Brian, highlighting his unwavering dedication to Pawlet. Many described his impact on the town as "unmatched" and commended his lifelong commitment to the community he called home.
