In a devastating turn of events, a young brother and sister lost their lives and several people were left injured, some with life-threatening injuries, after a vehicle driven by a suspected drunken driver crashed into a young child's birthday party at a boat club in Berlin Township, Michigan. The incident occurred on Saturday around 3 p.m., at the Swan Creek Boat Club, situated about 30 miles south of Detroit.

Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough revealed that the crash occurred when a 66-year-old woman, whose identity was not disclosed, drove her vehicle 25 feet into the building. The impact claimed the lives of an 8-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother, who tragically died at the scene. The immediate aftermath of the crash was described as extremely chaotic and emotional by first responders who arrived at the scene.

A total of three children and six adults, some with life-threatening injuries, were transported to nearby hospitals via helicopters or ambulances. Additionally, several other injured individuals received first aid at the scene and were later taken to hospitals by private vehicles.
