In the aftermath of President Joe Biden's much-criticized debate performance against Donald Trump, tensions have reportedly arisen between the Biden family and some members of the president's staff. According to NBC sources, certain close relatives of Biden expressed dissatisfaction with what they perceived as the staff's failure to adequately prepare the president for the debate, leading to simmering tensions and old grievances resurfacing.

An unnamed source revealed that the Biden family has been witness to a series of blunders by key staff members, and the debate served as the tipping point. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff allegedly pointed fingers at the president, exacerbating the family's frustration. The source stated, "I believe the family has witnessed blunder after blunder by key staff personnel, and the debate is likely the straw that broke the camel's back."

In the days following the debate, Biden received visits from his sister Valerie Owens, son Hunter Biden, and his wife Melissa Cohen. However, an aide believes that the involvement of the president's family has not been helpful, with one person divulging that the debate debacle has provided the family with an opportunity to step up and assist their beloved father and brother.

Meanwhile, The New York Times recently reported that Biden's family has been urging him to remain in the race despite calls for his withdrawal. Previous reports had also hinted at the family's discontent with certain staff members, including White House senior adviser Dunn, her husband Bob Bauer, and Ron Klain, the former White House chief of staff responsible for debate preparations. However, it should be noted that another source claimed that Biden himself is not upset and maintains faith in his staff, while his wife Jill has refrained from criticizing them.

A White House official has dismissed claims that Biden's family members hold any ill feelings toward the staff. It remains to be seen how these tensions will impact the dynamics within the administration moving forward.

Nevertheless, Biden appears determined to continue his presidential campaign, vowing to return to the stage for a second debate against Trump. The upcoming debate will undoubtedly be closely watched to see how Biden performs and whether any changes in staff dynamics become evident.
