In shocking developments, newly-released bodycam footage from 2023 has revealed chilling details about the teenager accused of carrying out a deadly shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia. The video, captured during a police interview, shows Colt Gray and his father, Colin Gray, being questioned by a deputy from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

The interview, which took place over a year before the tragic incident, was conducted after Colt allegedly made online threats to "shoot up" a local middle school. Despite the accusations, the teenager adamantly denied having made such threats, stating to the deputy, "I would never say something like that."

During the interview, Colin Gray claimed that his son possessed knowledge on handling weapons responsibly. He affirmed that Colt understood the seriousness of firearms and how to use them safely. However, despite this statement, the investigation into the threats was ultimately closed due to a lack of concrete evidence.

Months later, in December 2023, Colin Gray allegedly presented his teenage son with an AR-style rifle as a Christmas gift, according to federal law enforcement sources. Authorities are now scrutinizing whether this weapon was indeed used in the deadly shooting incident.

Following the shooting at Apalachee High School, both Colt and Colin Gray are now facing serious criminal charges. The teenager has been charged with four counts of murder, with additional charges expected to be filed, as confirmed by officials. On the other hand, Colin Gray was arrested the day after the shooting and has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder, four counts of involuntary manslaughter, and eight counts of cruelty to children.

This alarming turn of events has left many questioning whether signs were missed and warnings were ignored in the lead-up to the tragedy. Family members came forward, revealing their attempts to raise concerns about the teenager's behavior prior to the incident. Charlie Polhamus, Colt's grandfather, disclosed that his wife had gone to the high school to discuss her grandson just one day before the shooting occurred.

Furthermore, on the day of the shooting, Colt's mother, Marcee Gray, contacted the school after receiving a worrisome text message from her son, according to Charlie Polhamus. The boy's aunt, Annie Brown, revealed that Marcee spoke with a school counselor, stressing the urgency to locate her son immediately. While details remain undisclosed, it is clear that loved ones made efforts to get help before tragedy struck.

The arrest of both Colt and Colin Gray, along with the revelations from the bodycam footage, have brought this shocking case to the forefront. The investigation continues as authorities strive to understand the full extent of the events leading up to the devastating shooting at Apalachee High School.
