Authorities have announced that Jared Ravizza, the suspect connected to the recent stabbings at a Massachusetts movie theater and a McDonald's, will also face criminal charges in Connecticut in connection to a killing in Deep River. Ravizza was arraigned on Tuesday in Plymouth District Court, where he faced charges related to the McDonald's attack on Saturday evening.
The prosecution filed a motion requesting that Ravizza be held without bail, citing his alleged involvement in another stabbing incident at a Braintree movie theater on the same day, as well as pending charges in Connecticut regarding a homicide. The court agreed to consider the motion but ordered a mental health assessment to determine Ravizza's competency to stand trial. The defendant appeared in court wearing a green corrections uniform, accompanied by officers.
Connecticut State Police reported on Tuesday that Ravizza would also be charged in connection to a homicide that occurred in Deep River. Authorities discovered the victim, identified as Bruce Feldman, 70, outside a residence on Maritone Lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene. During the initial investigation, police obtained information indicating that Ravizza had been present at the address earlier in the day. However, the full details of Ravizza's involvement in the incident are still under investigation.
