**Suspect Arrested in Connection with Arizona DNC Office Shootings**
Authorities in Tempe, Arizona, have apprehended a suspect believed to be involved in three separate shooting incidents targeting the Democratic National Committee office since September. Jeffrey Michael Kelly, aged 60, was identified and arrested, not only for the shootings but also for allegedly hanging suspicious bags of white powder from political signs outfitted with razor blades in Ahwatukee, a nearby village.
Police announced the arrest on Tuesday, detailing that Kelly faces several felony charges, including committing an act of terrorism, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and shooting at a non-residential structure. In addition to these serious charges, he also faces a misdemeanor charge for criminal damage.
The shooting incidents began on September 16 when gunshots were fired through the front windows of the DNC office. Police initially believed the damage was caused by a BB gun or pellet gun. A second shooting took place on September 23, also targeting the office's front windows.
"No one was inside the office during the overnight hours, but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work in that building, as well as those nearby," Sgt. Ryan Cook, the police department's public information officer, stated in a release on September 24.
The third incident, reported by azfamily.com, occurred on October 6, further escalating concerns about the ongoing threat to the area. Authorities continue to investigate the motives behind these attacks and the potential risks posed by the suspicious bags found in Ahwatukee.
