In a spree of robberies that occurred overnight, at least eight convenience stores across Los Angeles and Orange counties fell victim to a series of thefts, leaving authorities suspecting the crimes are connected. The first incident was reported at a 7-Eleven store on Alondra Boulevard in Norwalk around 9:16 p.m. on Sunday.

According to reports, the Norwalk robbery involved five male suspects who fled the scene on foot after stealing two cash registers from the store. The spree continued into the early hours of Monday, with one of the later robberies happening at a 7-Eleven on Artesia Boulevard in Bellflower at around 1:45 a.m.

Surveillance footage captured a group of individuals arriving at the Bellflower location in what appeared to be a small orange SUV. Four suspects from the group entered the store, forcefully leaping over the counter, and demanding the cash registers while knocking over various items. The robbers swiftly escaped the scene.

Eyewitnesses inside the Bellflower store, who requested anonymity, reported feeling shaken and revealed that two cash registers were stolen during the incident. Each register was estimated to contain a minimum of $500.

The crime wave extended beyond Bellflower, with a Circle K and Shell gas station in Anaheim also targeted. Additional 7-Eleven locations in Anaheim, Orange, Fullerton, and Gardena experienced similar robberies, leading law enforcement to believe the same suspects were involved in these incidents.

Anaheim police Sgt. Jon McClintock expressed concern over the series of robberies, describing them as rare occurrences. The authorities suspect a connection between multiple thefts in both Orange County and Los Angeles County.

During the incident at the Anaheim Circle K, a cashier's vehicle was stolen. However, the stolen car was later discovered at a 7-Eleven store in Orange. Sheriff's officials from the Compton station verified that four individuals, using a simulated firearm, stole cash registers.

Fullerton police believe the same suspects targeted convenience stores in their jurisdiction, as well as in Anaheim, stealing cash registers in each case. They estimated the involvement of 3-4 suspects during these robberies.

While it is unclear at this time, officials are investigating a possible related robbery in Commerce. No injuries were reported during the spree, and no arrests have been made thus far.

Law enforcement authorities across Los Angeles and Orange counties are collaborating to gather evidence and identify the perpetrators responsible for the convenience store robberies. They urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in their efforts to bring the culprits to justice.
