**Bruce Springsteen Stands Against Trump at Kamala Harris Rally**
For the first time, Bruce Springsteen took the stage to support Kamala Harris' presidential campaign, expressing strong opposition to Donald Trump. Speaking to the audience at James R. Hallford Stadium near Atlanta, Springsteen criticized Trump, labeling him as someone trying to become an "American tyrant" and asserting that Trump lacks an understanding of the country, its history, and what it means to be truly American.
Springsteen's performance included a lineup of his iconic songs such as "The Promised Land," "Land of Hope and Dreams," and "Dancing in the Dark." Earlier this month, Springsteen had already shown his support for Harris in an Instagram video. This rally marked a significant event as Harris was joined by former President Barack Obama, making it their first joint appearance since Harris began her campaign.
The get-out-the-vote rally also brought together a slew of notable figures, including Samuel L. Jackson, Spike Lee, and Tyler Perry, alongside Senators Jon Ossoff (D-GA) and Raphael Warnock (R-GA). Spike Lee emphasized the importance of this election, describing the situation as "life and death" to motivate the crowd, which the campaign reported to be around 20,000 strong.
In a strategic move in the final days of the campaign, Harris' team has been enlisting the help of various celebrities. Up next, she is set to appear in Houston on Friday with Beyoncé, and Bruce Springsteen will also perform in Philadelphia next Monday at a rally where Obama will be present as well. The rock icon has a history of participating in political campaigns, having performed for Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Kerry in their respective runs, and endorsing Joe Biden in the last election cycle.
However, Trump's campaign did not take kindly to Harris' use of celebrity endorsements. In a statement, they criticized her reliance on what they termed "Hollywood elites," claiming that it reveals how out of touch they believe Democrats are with the working class. Despite this criticism, Trump has also utilized celebrity endorsements in his campaign, with Kid Rock performing at the Republican National Convention and Hulk Hogan making a memorable appearance.
As the election draws closer, both campaigns seem to be pulling out all the stops, leveraging high-profile personalities to garner support and engage voters.
