Small Plane Crashes into Townhouses in Oregon Neighborhood

In a devastating incident on Saturday morning, a small plane carrying two individuals crashed into a row of townhouses in a residential area of Fairview, Oregon. The plane came down not far from the Portland International Airport and Troutdale Airport, causing significant damage and prompting evacuations of nearby residents.

The twin-engine Cessna 421C, which went down around 10:30 a.m., carried two people. However, authorities have not provided any updates regarding their condition or whereabouts.
Multiple agencies, including Gresham Fire, The Port of Portland, Portland Fire and Rescue, and Clackamas Fire, responded swiftly to the crash. Despite the proximity of the incident to the Troutdale Airport, no statement has been made about any impact on airport operations.
As a result of the plane striking the power pole, thousands of residents in the region experienced power outages. The extent of the damage caused to the townhouses and the surrounding area is still being assessed.
