In a shocking incident, a small plane crashed into the front yard of a residence in Arvada, Colorado, on June 7, 2024. The crash resulted in the injury of four individuals who were immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

According to reports, the pilot of the plane had contacted the Air Traffic Control tower in Jefferson County, alerting them about a low oil pressure light. Moments later, another call came in reporting extreme power loss. The pilot informed the tower that they would not be able to make it and would have to find a place to "park" the aircraft. Shortly after, the tower lost contact with the pilot.

Eyewitnesses observed a low-flying plane teetering side to side in Arvada. One witness, Evan Sherlock, recalled seeing the plane flying extremely low, weaving back and forth, and dipping its wings. He initially continued driving but later turned around when he noticed the plane had disappeared from his rearview mirror. Sherlock discovered debris from the crash scattered across the front yard of a neighboring home.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene promptly, and with the assistance of neighbors, managed to pull the occupants out of the wreckage. The injured individuals, two adults, and two children, were then transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.

Arvada Police Department responded to the crash site after receiving reports around 9:30 a.m. They discovered that the plane had struck a fence and a tree at the intersection of Oberon Road and Balsam Street before ultimately crashing into the yard of a home at the corner of Oberon Road and Brentwood Drive. The impact caused the aircraft to catch fire, but emergency personnel quickly extinguished it.

As a precautionary measure, a hazmat crew was dispatched to the crash site by Arvada Fire to address a potential fuel spill. Additionally, preparations are underway for a National Transportation Safety Board investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

The story is still developing, and authorities, as well as FOX31, are actively working to gather more information about the incident.
