**Sharon Stone Criticizes US Politics and Ignorance at Torino Film Festival**

During her appearance at the Torino Film Festival, celebrated actor and artist Sharon Stone openly criticized what she views as the naive and arrogant adolescence of the United States, which she believes has led the country into a misguided political era. Stone made these comments during a panel discussion on Monday, the same day she received a lifetime achievement award.

In responding to a question about the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Stone referenced the re-election of Donald Trump, questioning the integrity of the US's political choices. "We have to stop and think about who we choose for government. And if, in fact, we are actually choosing our government or if the government is choosing itself," she remarked.

Stone didn't hesitate to draw parallels between historical events in Europe and current US affairs. She noted that Italy, having experienced fascism before, has a deeper understanding of the consequences of political naivety. "My country is in adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant. Adolescence thinks it knows everything. Adolescence is naive and ignorant and arrogant. And we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence," Stone said, explaining her perspective.

To substantiate her argument, Stone pointed out that a significant portion of the American population does not travel internationally, with 80% lacking a passport, which she believes contributes to their lack of education and awareness. "What I can say is that the only way that we can help with these issues is to help each other," Stone added.

Returning to the subject of combating violence against women, Stone stressed that this responsibility should not fall solely on women. She urged men to recognize and address the dangerous behavior of their peers. "Men must be very clear minded and understand that your friends who are not good men are dangerous, violent men," she stated.

Stone concluded by pointing out what she perceives as the general ignorance of Americans regarding global issues. "Americans are very uninformed about reality, what's really going on," she said, mentioning critical issues like climate change and conflicts in Ukraine and Israel. She criticized the superficial engagement of Americans with major global topics, summarizing it as an "appetite for a little bit of information."
