In a shocking turn of events, authorities have suspended their search for the remains of a three-week-old baby at the Antelope Valley Landfill, as the infant's father has now become a suspect in the ongoing death investigation. The baby, identified as Baki Dewees, has been missing since May 3, according to the family.

Yusuf Dewees, 24, the father of the missing baby, was reportedly the last person seen with Baki. However, authorities have not disclosed any information regarding the discovery of the baby's remains or the reasons behind their belief that he is deceased. A detective, who spoke with Eyewitness News, refrained from providing any further details.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives thoroughly combed through the trash at the Antelope Valley Landfill in their search for any possible evidence related to baby Baki Dewees. Despite their efforts, no remains were recovered, leading to the suspension of the search.

It is worth noting that Yusuf Dewees is currently facing unrelated charges and is in custody in Utah, while the child's mother is also detained in the same state. The investigation is ongoing, and detectives have expressed their appreciation for the cooperation of the infant's family throughout their inquiries.

The suspension of the search for Baki Dewees' remains underscores the seriousness of the situation, as authorities focus their attention on his father, who is now a suspect in the death investigation. As the investigation continues, it is hoped that definitive answers will be found, bringing closure to this heartbreaking case.
