**"Sean 'Diddy' Combs Faces New Lawsuits Alleging Sexual Assault of Minors"**
In a new legal challenge, Sean "Diddy" Combs has been accused in two separate lawsuits of sexually assaulting boys aged 10 and 17. These alleged incidents reportedly occurred in 2005 and 2008 respectively. The civil lawsuits, filed Monday in New York state's Supreme Court, contribute to the growing number of accusations—over two dozen—that have targeted the prominent music figure.
Representing the plaintiffs in these new cases are attorneys Tony Buzbee and Andrew Van Arsdale. The two attorneys claim to represent more than 100 people with similar allegations against Combs. Buzbee, a Texas-based personal injury lawyer, has spearheaded more than a dozen lawsuits against the entertainer and vows to continue adding more. "We will continue to file cases weekly naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare the filings," Buzbee stated.
The plaintiffs in the recent suits, who have chosen to maintain anonymity due to the nature of the allegations, both reside in California and are seeking a jury trial. In retaliation, Combs' attorneys have accused Buzbee of seeking media attention rather than truth, citing Buzbee’s press appearances and a public 1-800 number solicitation for new clients.
"Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone - man or woman, adult or minor," Combs' attorneys stated.
Combs, currently facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, has pleaded not guilty and is currently detained in a New York City jail. His trial is set to commence in May. Federal prosecutors allege that Combs coerced both men and women into sex acts, utilizing blackmail and violence to silence victims, and implicated his staff in these illicit activities.
The first plaintiff alleges that in 2005, when he was 10 and an aspiring actor and rapper, he was brought to New York City where Combs allegedly assaulted him during a private audition. Following the incident, Combs reportedly threatened the boy into silence. The traumatic event has allegedly left the victim with severe emotional and psychological scars, leading to anxiety, depression, and emotional difficulties that affected his schooling and social interactions.
The second plaintiff's lawsuit claims that in 2008, when he was 17, Combs assaulted him during a private audition for the MTV reality show "Making the Band." According to the suit, Combs forced the teenager to engage in sexual acts under the guise of furthering his music career. This plaintiff also claims his attempts to re-enter the music industry were stymied for seven years due to the trauma.
Combs has settled one lawsuit so far, involving his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura. This lawsuit, resolved with a settlement said to be in the eight figures, did not involve Combs admitting any wrongdoing. Combs' legal team continues to contest the remaining suits.
