In a recent development, it has been revealed that a sailor assigned to a medical team at a base in Virginia made multiple unsuccessful attempts to access President Joe Biden's medical records earlier this year. The Navy spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday that the sailor, whose identity remains undisclosed, worked at Fort Belvoir with the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command during the failed attempts in February.

According to Cmdr. Tim Hawkins, the service member accessed the Military Health System's electronic health record with the search term "Joseph Biden" out of curiosity. However, the accessed record did not belong to the President, and Hawkins assured that no personal information regarding President Biden was compromised during the incident.

The breach of President Biden's medical records was initially reported by ABC News. A defense official later informed NBC News that the sailor had attempted to access the information three times on February 23. Notably, this incident occurred a few weeks after special counsel Robert Hur cited President Biden's "poor memory" as one of the reasons for not pursuing charges in a classified documents review.

The breach was promptly reported by a co-worker, leading to an investigation conducted by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). The NCIS alerted the U.S. Secret Service, who subsequently participated in an interview with the unidentified sailor. The investigation concluded on April 24, with the sailor being held accountable administratively, as confirmed by a defense official.

Major General Patrick Ryder, a spokesperson for the Defense Department, stated that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was informed of the breach in February, and the Navy promptly informed the White House about the incident. This disclosure raises questions about President Biden's health, particularly following his perceived lackluster performance in a recent debate against former President Donald Trump.

To address concerns surrounding the President's health, his personal physician released a letter on Monday night, stating that President Biden showed no signs of any neurological disorder, including Parkinson's, during his last annual physical on February 28. The letter specifically addressed visits to the White House by a Parkinson's disease expert.

While the access attempt to President Biden's medical records did not compromise his personal information, it highlights the importance of safeguarding confidential records and the consequences that those who attempt such breaches may face. The incident also underscores the scrutiny that accompanies the health of public figures, with his physician assuring the public about President Biden's well-being.
