**Chelsea O'Donnell Arrested for Child Neglect and Drug Possession**

Rosie O'Donnell's daughter, Chelsea Belle O'Donnell, faced serious legal troubles last month. The 27-year-old was arrested on September 17 after police reportedly discovered her 11-month-old child in close proximity to a methamphetamine pipe. According to court documents, Chelsea has been charged with multiple felonies, including maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of THC. Additionally, she faces two misdemeanors: disorderly conduct/domestic abuse and possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs.

The situation came to light on September 10 when Chelsea called the police to her home in Marinette, Wisconsin, following a dispute with her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund. During the call, dispatchers heard a woman instructing someone to "get the hell away." Responding officers noted Chelsea’s dilated pupils and her lack of honesty, referencing a similar incident weeks earlier. Upon searching her home, officers found deplorable living conditions, including meth paraphernalia easily accessible to her young child.

Inside the child's bedroom, police discovered numerous hypodermic needles, some loaded with blood, alongside various household garbage, tools, and butane bottles. Further inspection of Chelsea and Nelund’s bedroom uncovered another meth pipe and a bag containing methamphetamine. These findings led officers to conclude that the couple prioritized their drug addiction over the safety and cleanliness of their living environment.

Further complicating matters, Chelsea was found with 18 grams of methamphetamine hidden in a body cavity at the time of her arrest. Her baby was subsequently placed under the care of Nelund’s friends, and Chelsea was released on bail shortly afterwards. However, she encountered the police again on October 10 during a traffic stop where she allegedly attempted to discard a meth pipe. The officer discovered three used needles in the car and more drugs hidden in her bra.

These charges have resulted in two separate legal cases, with hearings set for November. Chelsea’s struggles with addiction have been a long-standing issue for her family. Rosie O'Donnell's representative conveyed the family's ongoing hope for Chelsea's recovery from her decade-long battle with drug addiction.

Chelsea was adopted by Rosie and her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter as a baby. Her troubling behavior isn't new: she was reported missing at 17 and found in the home of an alleged drug dealer four days later. Over the years, Chelsea's struggle with substance abuse has led to significant health scares and legal issues. Despite her past denials of being mentally ill, Chelsea's addiction issues have persisted, culminating in her recent arrests and charges.
