### Ravens Begin Second Week of OTAs Minus Lamar Jackson; Rookie Kickers Impress

The Baltimore Ravens initiated their second week of organized team activities (OTAs) without star quarterback Lamar Jackson on the field, casting the spotlight on the competition between rookie kickers Tyler Loop and John Hoyland. During Tuesday's practice, both kickers went a flawless 6 for 6 on their kicks. Loop successfully hit field goals from 28, 30, and 32 yards, while Hoyland connected from 34, 36, and 42 yards.

This week marked a shift in the kicker competition, as Loop and Hoyland alternated days last week but performed consecutively this week, upping the stakes in the effort to find a replacement for veteran kicker Justin Tucker.

With Jackson absent, backup quarterback Cooper Rush took charge of the starting offense, continuing his adjustment to the team’s offensive scheme. Rush demonstrated his skills with several impressive sideline throws. Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken expressed no concern about Jackson's absence, stating, "I always feel good about Lamar. He always comes in ready. He loves to play football. He loves his teammates. He loves the Ravens. He'll be ready, and we'll be ready to go against Buffalo come Sunday night."

During the practice, several key adjustments were observed. Andrew Vorhees stepped in with the starting offense with Ben Cleveland missing. Veteran tackle Joe Noteboom filled in for the non-attending left tackle Ronnie Stanley. Additionally, linebacker Odafe Oweh showcased his agility at an increased weight, halting a screen pass intended for running back Keaton Mitchell at the line of scrimmage.

Other notable performances included undrafted rookie fullback Lucas Scott, who caught a pass during 11-on-11 drills, and inside linebacker Chandler Martin, who nearly intercepted a pass for the second time in OTAs. Tight end Isaiah Likely made two significant receptions down the sideline from Rush, and cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis effectively disrupted a pass targeting DeAndre Hopkins in the end zone.

Rookie safety Malaki Starks made a crucial play during a red-zone drill, closing in quickly to prevent what seemed like a sure touchdown pass from Rush to fullback Patrick Ricard, resulting in an incomplete pass.

The absence of some key players did not hinder the energy and competitive spirit on the field, as the team continues to prepare for the upcoming season.
