**Pro Football Hall of Fame Names Nine Semifinalists for Class of 2025**

In a significant development for the football community, nine individuals associated with Super Bowl-winning teams have been selected as Semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025. The announcement was made by the Hall of Fame, with the selections overseen by the Coach Blue-Ribbon Committee. This committee carefully whittled down an initial list of 14 candidates to the nine Semifinalists through a rigorous process.

These distinguished coaches include Bill Arnsparger, Tom Coughlin, Mike Holmgren, Chuck Knox, Dan Reeves, Marty Schottenheimer, George Seifert, Mike Shanahan, and Clark Shaughnessy. These names will be subjected to further discussion during a virtual meeting on November 19, where the committee will select one Finalist. This single Finalist will advance to the final Selection Committee for consideration as part of the new class of enshrinees.

The group features some notable returning candidates such as Tom Coughlin, Mike Holmgren, Dan Reeves, Marty Schottenheimer, Mike Shanahan, and Clark Shaughnessy, who were also semifinalists in the previous year. The decision to separate the coaches and contributors into distinct categories this year was a strategic move by the Hall of Fame's Board of Directors, enhancing the chances of these legendary coaches being recognized for their contributions to the sport.

Providing a glimpse into the careers of these Semifinalists, Bill Arnsparger stands out with two Super Bowl titles as a defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. Tom Coughlin, known for his tenure with the New York Giants, boasts two Super Bowl victories in his coaching career. Mike Holmgren led the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl XXXI win and also took the Seattle Seahawks to an NFC crown.

Dan Reeves’ coaching career includes four conference championships and an impressive record with three different NFL teams. Chuck Knox won NFL Coach of the Year three times and had a successful coaching span with multiple teams. Marty Schottenheimer holds an overall coaching record of 205-139-1 across various teams. George Seifert led the San Francisco 49ers to two Super Bowl titles and has a career regular-season record of 114-62. Mike Shanahan also has two Super Bowl titles and an extensive head coaching career. Clark Shaughnessy, with his multifaceted coaching roles, completes the list.

In addition to the coaches, the Hall of Fame revealed nine Semifinalists in the Contributors category, including notable names like K.S. "Bud" Adams, Robert Kraft, and Art Rooney Jr. The final decision across various categories will culminate in the announcement of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 during the "NFL Honors" in New Orleans in February, with the enshrinement ceremony to follow in August in Canton.
