In a surprising turn of events, President Biden made an unexpected visit to Hallie Biden's home in Delaware on Sunday evening. The visit came just days before her scheduled appearance as a key witness in the federal trial of Hunter Biden, the president's son, who is facing charges related to alleged gun crimes.

President Biden arrived at Hallie's home at around 8 p.m. for a private conversation. Hallie, who was Hunter's girlfriend at the time of the alleged gun crimes, is expected to be one of the twelve witnesses in the trial. She was previously married to Beau Biden, the president's late son.

According to prosecutors, Hunter is accused of lying about his drug use on gun purchase forms and illegally possessing at least one firearm. Hallie was involved in disposing of the weapon, allegedly disposing it in a public dumpster back in 2018.

Andrew Bates, the White House spokesperson, clarified that the president did not discuss the upcoming trial during his visit with Hallie. This trial marks Hunter's first of two scheduled criminal trials, with the proceedings set to begin on June 3.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the gun charges, Hunter is also slated to face trial in Los Angeles in September for allegedly failing to pay over $1.4 million in federal taxes between 2016 and 2019.

These legal battles have only intensified the scrutiny surrounding the Biden family, with allegations of a Justice Department cover-up to protect them from potential liability in foreign business dealings, in which President Biden himself played a role.

Notably, Hunter had previously entered into a plea deal relating to the gun and tax crimes last June, which would have resulted in probation. However, he withdrew from the agreement during a court hearing in July, where his lawyers demanded immunity for past conduct, including potential violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which could implicate his father.

As the trial approaches, all eyes will be on the legal proceedings and the potential implications it may have for Hunter Biden and the broader Biden family.
