In a campaign rally held in the crucial battleground state of Wisconsin, President Joe Biden assured his supporters that he will be staying in the 2024 presidential race. Addressing concerns about his recent debate performance, Biden expressed confidence in his ability to defeat former President Donald Trump once again.

Recounting the aftermath of the debate, Biden acknowledged the speculation surrounding his future in the race, stating, "There's been a lot of speculation: 'What's Joe going to do? Is he going to stay in the race? Is he going to drop out, what's he going to do?' Well, here's my answer. I am running and gonna win again."

Refusing to be swayed by calls to drop out of the 2024 race, Biden emphasized his determination to continue, stating, "Let me say it as clear as I can: I'm staying in the race! I'll beat Donald Trump." Although the President initially misspoke by mentioning a victory against Trump in 2020, he corrected himself, affirming his intention to prevail in the next presidential election.

Undeterred by his perceived debate shortcomings, Biden drew attention to his resilience, saying, "I learned long ago, when you get knocked down, you get back up." He reassured his supporters that the 90-minute debate would not overshadow his accomplishments over the last three and a half years.

Recognizing the importance of assuaging doubts about his fitness for office, Biden's Democratic allies have called for him to campaign vigorously to secure a second term. Party members and donors are closely watching events like his recent rally in Wisconsin to evaluate his capabilities as a leader.

During the speech, Biden took a jab at Trump, highlighting the former president's verbal stumbles. He mentioned an incident where Trump claimed George Washington's army won the Revolutionary War by capturing airports from the British. Biden jokingly remarked, "It's true, he is a stable genius."

Additionally, Biden directly confronted concerns about his age, a top concern for many voters. Challenging the audience with a series of call-and-response questions, he asked if they thought he was too old to restore Roe v. Wade, ban assault weapons, and protect Social Security and Medicare. The resounding response was a firm "No."

Despite being 81 years old, Biden would approach the end of a potential second term at 86. However, polls indicate that voters are more concerned about Biden's age compared to Trump's. A recent New York Times/Siena poll revealed that 74% of voters consider Biden too old for the job.

Throughout his rally, Biden used lines from the debate and previous campaign events to criticize Trump's character and actions. Describing the former president as having "the morals of an alley cat" and being "a one-man crime wave," Biden's words showcased his determination to contrast himself as a strong, reliable leader.

The event, organized by the Biden-Harris campaign, aimed to highlight the significance of the upcoming election for democracy, rights and freedoms, and the economy. This marked Biden's fifth trip to Wisconsin this year, underscoring the state's importance in the electoral landscape.

While in Madison, Biden also sat for a taped interview with ABC News's George Stephanopoulos, set to air later on Friday. Following the widely criticized debate performance, the campaign is now intensifying its general election activities, with Biden leading an aggressive travel schedule throughout July.

As part of the campaign's strategy to amplify its message, President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, First Lady Jill Biden, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff are scheduled to travel and campaign across the country, particularly in battleground states. The administration's achievements will be highlighted, aiming to sway voters in their favor.

Looking ahead, Biden will be speaking at the NAACP and UnidosUS conferences in Las Vegas, coinciding with the Republican National Convention, taking place in Milwaukee from July 15 to 18. Vice President Harris will address the 30th ESSENCE Festival of Culture in New Orleans on Saturday, according to the campaign's plans.

Moreover, the campaign is launching a $50 million paid media blitz throughout the month, strategically targeting large audiences, including those during the RNC and the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games, which commence on July 26.

President Biden's firm commitment to running again in 2024 and his unwavering confidence in defeating Donald Trump reflect his determination to secure a second term. As the campaign ramps up its efforts, Biden aims to prove his capabilities and energize supporters across the nation.
