The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for the start of training camp, and fans are eager to see who will make the cut for the team's 53-man roster. With several key players and new additions in the mix, let's take a closer look at the projected roster.

At the quarterback position, it's expected that Jalen Hurts will lead the way, with Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee as his backups. Another quarterback, Will Grier, will provide valuable experience and help the young trio get up to speed, but his chances of making the final roster seem slim.

Moving to the running back position, star player Saquon Barkley is set to be a key contributor, supported by Kenny Gainwell and Will Shipley. While the Eagles sometimes opt for just three running backs, there's a possibility that they may keep a fourth. Undrafted rookie Kendall Milton is one to watch during training camp, although the odds may not be in his favor.

The wide receiver group is stacked with talent, featuring A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Parris Campbell, Ainias Smith, Johnny Wilson, and Britain Covey. However, John Ross and Joseph Ngata could challenge for spots on the roster. The third wide receiver position appears to be a position where a Week 1 starter might not currently be on the roster.

Dallas Goedert, C.J. Uzomah, and Grant Calcaterra make up the tight end position, with Albert Okwuegbunam, McCallan Castles, and E.J. Jenkins as potential alternatives. Although the Eagles may prefer to keep four tight ends, they may opt against it due to a lack of depth.

The offensive line will be anchored by Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Tyler Steen, Lane Johnson, Mekhi Becton, Trevor Keegan, Dylan McMahon, and Max Scharping. The Eagles appear to have a solid group of edge defenders in Bryce Huff, Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham, Nolan Smith, and Jalyx Hunt, leaving little room for additional players at that position.

The interior defensive line is expected to include Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Milton Williams, Marlon Tuipulotu, Moro Ojomo, and P.J. Mustipher. However, the Eagles may search the trade market for more depth in this area.

The linebacker corps is set to feature Devin White, Zack Baun, Nakobe Dean, Oren Burks, and Jeremiah Trotter, with Ben VanSumeren as a potential special teams contributor.

In the secondary, Darius Slay, Isaiah Rodgers, Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Kelee Ringo, and Josh Jobe are vying for cornerback spots. James Bradberry and Eli Ricks could be traded during camp to address other positional needs. At safety, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Reed Blankenship, Sydney Brown, and Avonte Maddox are projected, with the possibility of adding a veteran during camp.

Finally, the specialists, Jake Elliott, Braden Mann, and Rick Lovato, have all secured new contracts and will run unopposed in training camp.

As the Philadelphia Eagles kick off training camp, it will be an exciting period to determine who will secure their spot on the 53-man roster. With a mix of established veterans, promising rookies, and potential trades, the competition will be fierce as players vie for their chance to shine on the field.
