### Packers Edge Bears 20-19 with Last-Second Field Goal Block
The Green Bay Packers secured a narrow 20-19 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, thanks to a dramatic final play where Karl Brooks blocked Cairo Santos' 46-yard field goal attempt as the clock expired.
Jordan Love played a pivotal role by rushing for a go-ahead touchdown late in the game, giving the Packers a 20-19 lead with just under three minutes remaining. Love's touchdown run from the 1-yard line was set up by a 60-yard pass to Christian Watson, whose dynamic catch and run brought Green Bay to the Bears' 14-yard line. Despite failing the 2-point conversion, Green Bay solidified their comeback.
The Bears initially tried to recover, with quarterback Caleb Williams advancing his team to Green Bay’s 28-yard line after being sacked twice early in the next drive. However, their efforts were undone when Brooks’ blocked Santos' kick, ultimately sealing their fate.
Green Bay’s narrow win marked their 11th consecutive victory over the Bears, maintaining pressure on division rivals Detroit and Minnesota in the NFC North race. This victory also extended the Packers’ dominance in their historic rivalry, marking their 26th win against Chicago in the last 29 matchups.
Love ended the game with 13 completions out of 17 attempts, amassing 261 yards and one touchdown while also throwing his league-leading 11th interception of the season. Packers running back Josh Jacobs contributed 76 yards and a touchdown on the ground. In defense, Brenton Cox, Rashan Gary, and T.J. Slaton each recorded a sack.
On the Bears' side, Williams threw for 231 yards and rushed for another 70, making strides after struggling in previous games. D'Andre Swift also stood out, rushing for 71 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown that briefly gave Chicago a 19-14 lead late in the third quarter.
Chicago’s special team shone early with Santos hitting a 53-yard field goal in the first quarter, his seventh of 50 yards or more this season, tying a franchise record. Despite this, a critical interception by Terrell Smith at their own 1-yard line thwarted Green Bay’s chance to expand their lead early in the second quarter.
Both teams had key players sidelined; Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander, dealing with a knee issue, missed the second half while rookie guard Jordan Morgan was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. For the Bears, LG Ryan Bates was evaluated for a concussion in the first quarter.
Green Bay will host San Francisco in their next game, while Chicago will face Minnesota, both hoping to redirect their respective seasons in the upcoming matchups.
