In a recent development that adds fuel to the ongoing speculation about President Joe Biden's mental health, top neurologist Dr. Kevin Cannard was found to have met with President Biden's personal doctor, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, at the White House earlier this year. The meeting between the renowned Parkinson's disease expert from Walter Reed Medical Center and Dr. O'Connor took place on January 17th, according to visitor logs reviewed by The Post.

Accompanied by Dr. John E. Atwood, a cardiologist from Walter Reed, and a fourth unidentified individual, the meeting raises questions about the purpose and nature of the discussions held at the White House residence clinic. The logs indicate that President Biden was present at the White House on that day, hosting House and Senate leaders to discuss Ukraine funding.

Dr. Cannard, who has been working at Walter Reed for nearly two decades and specializes in Parkinson's disease, has been serving as the "neurology specialist supporting the White House Medical Unit" since 2012, as stated on his LinkedIn profile. His most recent scientific paper, published in August 2023, focuses on the early stages of Parkinson's disease.

Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX), the former physician for both President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump, suggests that since President Biden's health falls under Dr. O'Connor's primary responsibility, it is highly probable that the meeting was related to the commander in chief. Jackson opined that Dr. O'Connor should primarily be treating the president and his family.

Dr. O'Connor, who has been President Biden's official physician since January 2021, maintains daily contact with the president. In an interview with a trade publication in March, Dr. O'Connor emphasized the significance of starting the day with a simple but vital task: saying "Good morning, Mr. President" to set a positive tone. In February, he gave President Biden a clean bill of health during his annual physical, which included a neurological examination specifically ruling out Parkinson's disease.

Last Friday, the White House disclosed that President Biden had a post-debate "verbal check-in" with Dr. O'Connor. However, speculation regarding the president's cognitive health persists, particularly following his July 4th gaffes and misstatements during holiday festivities at the White House.

Representative Jackson, who has issued warnings about President Biden's mental health for years, accused Dr. O'Connor, along with the first family, of attempting to "cover up" the president's cognitive decline. Jackson alleged that Dr. O'Connor, who has been on the job since day one of the Biden administration, is part of the Biden family and will do whatever it takes to maintain secrecy.

While experts who have not examined President Biden, such as Dr. Rob Howard, a professor of old age psychiatry at University College London, have pointed out features consistent with Parkinson's disease in the president's appearance and behavior, it's important to note that they have not offered a formal diagnosis.

As the speculation surrounding President Biden's health persists, Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS), a physician himself, emphasized the importance of transparency. He stated that if the president is affected by Parkinson's disease or any other progressive neurological condition, the American people deserve to know before voting in November.

When approached for comment, a White House spokesperson declined to provide information about the individuals present at the meeting, stating that a wide variety of specialists from the Walter Reed system visit the White House complex for the treatment of military personnel who work there.
