The Nebraska volleyball program, in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, has revealed its highly-anticipated schedule for the 2024 season. Featuring a total of 31 matches, including 20 against formidable Big Ten opponents and 11 against non-conference foes, the Huskers are set to face some of the top teams in the nation.

An impressive 18 out of the 31 matches will be held at the revered Bob Devaney Sports Center, providing an exciting home advantage for the Huskers. The schedule is peppered with challenging matchups against teams that finished in the top 25 of the 2023 AVCA Coaches Poll, with six of these encounters being against top 10 teams.

Before the official start of the season, Nebraska will kick off with their annual Red-White Scrimmage on Saturday, August 24 at 6 p.m. Held at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, this event will allow fans to get a glimpse of the team's preparation. Fan Day will also be held that morning at the Devaney Center, providing a unique opportunity for supporters to interact with the players.

Tickets for the Red-White Scrimmage will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, June 13 at 10 a.m. through Huskers.com. The regular season will begin on Tuesday, August 27 at the AVCA First Serve Showcase in Louisville, Kentucky, where the Huskers will face off against Kentucky at 6 p.m.

The much-anticipated home opener will take place on Friday, August 30, as Nebraska goes head-to-head with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 7 p.m. This will be followed by another home match against TCU on Saturday, August 31, at 7:30 p.m. The team will then embark on a midweek matchup against SMU in Dallas on Tuesday, September 3, before returning home for another tournament.

Among the highlights of Nebraska's home schedule is a match against in-state rival Creighton on Tuesday, September 10 at 7 p.m. The team's third home tournament will feature matches against Arizona State on Friday, September 13 at 6 p.m. and Wichita State on Saturday, September 14 at 2 p.m.

In a notable change, Nebraska will host Stanford on Wednesday, September 18, instead of the originally scheduled date of Tuesday, September 17. The match will start at 7 p.m. The non-conference slate wraps up with a match at Louisville on Sunday, September 22.

Looking ahead to conference play, the reigning Big Ten champion Huskers will begin their journey against two new conference opponents. They will host UCLA on Friday, September 27, followed by a match against USC on Sunday, September 29. After a road match at Illinois on Thursday, October 3, the Huskers will enjoy three consecutive home matches against Iowa, Purdue, and Rutgers.

October will see the Huskers on the road for matches against Michigan State and Ohio State, before wrapping up the month with home matches against Illinois and Michigan on October 25 and 26, respectively.

November begins with a rigorous road stretch, taking on Wisconsin, Northwestern, Oregon, and Washington on November 1, 2, 7, and 9, respectively. The Huskers will then return home to face Minnesota on Thursday, November 14, and Indiana on Saturday, November 16.

The final two weeks of the regular season will see the Huskers compete against Iowa on Wednesday, November 20 and host Wisconsin on Saturday, November 23. The team will conclude the regular season with away matches against Penn State on Friday, November 29, and Maryland on Saturday, November 30.
