In a recent incident, former boxing champion Mike Tyson reportedly suffered from a debilitating ulcer flare-up during a cross-country flight, leading to a medical emergency that raised concerns over his well-being. The episode occurred as Tyson was traveling to Los Angeles, forcing airline staff to issue a call for a doctor on board to assist the ailing athlete.

Eyewitnesses on the flight recounted how cabin crew made a public announcement, including displaying a message on the plane's screens, requesting medical assistance approximately 30 minutes before landing. Passengers were informed about Tyson's condition and were asked to remain on the aircraft to allow paramedics to board upon arrival in Los Angeles.

One passenger in the nearby exit row shared their experience, stating, "They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter. [The stewardess] said something like, 'He's a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he's OK.'" The eyewitness indicated that they recognized Tyson and silently mouthed his name to the stewardess, who affirmed their suspicion.

Upon landing at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the plane faced an additional delay of approximately 25 minutes to facilitate medical treatment for Tyson by the paramedics. It is worth noting that this incident comes ahead of Tyson's upcoming bout against Roy Jones Jr. on November 15, which had already drawn criticism for the significant age difference between the two fighters.

UFC President Dana White voiced his concern over the fight, calling it "f****ng ridiculous" and emphasizing the potential risks involved due to Tyson's age. Referring to the fact that Tyson will be nearly 60 years old at the time of the fight, White argued that a match between a man of Tyson's age and a 27-year-old opponent should not take place, regardless of Tyson's legendary status.

As fans and observers express growing apprehension over Tyson's reoccurring health scares leading up to his fight with Paul, the focus on the safety and well-being of the boxing icon has intensified. The rescheduling of the bout from its original date in July to November 15 has only fueled the concerns raised by many regarding the wisdom of this matchup.
