### New Orleans Jail Employee Arrested Amid Inmate Escape Controversy
A maintenance worker from the New Orleans jail has been charged in connection with the recent escape of 10 inmates, according to the Louisiana State Attorney General's office. This development follows an incident that has left six inmates, deemed armed and dangerous, still on the run as of Tuesday morning.
Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson revealed the arrest during a briefing at the City Council's criminal justice committee. The maintenance worker, identified as Sterling Williams, was employed at the Orleans Justice Center.
The manhunt to recapture the remaining fugitives is ongoing, with a task force of more than 200 officers currently involved in the search.
