Hours later, Trump unleashed a scathing response on Truth Social, attacking Cheney and her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Trump's lengthy tirade included accusations against Liz Cheney, focusing on her involvement in the January 6 House select committee. He also condemned Dick Cheney for his role in the Middle East conflicts, which he referred to as "our ridiculous journey into the Middle East, where Trillions of Dollars were spent, millions of people were killed." Labeling them as a "pathetic couple," Trump accused both of suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome."
