Late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and Dulcé Sloan took aim at former President Donald Trump's complaints and strange polling leading up to the 2024 election in their recent shows.

Kimmel expressed his disbelief at Trump's lack of understanding about the jury's role in his criminal trial in New York. Trump brought a stack of articles to the proceedings, claiming that he hadn't seen any that portrayed the trial in a positive light. Kimmel humorously responded by suggesting that Trump needed "tiny mittens" to combat the alleged courtroom coldness, referencing Trump's notoriety for being cold with his wife Melania.

While a jury has been selected for the trial, Trump supporters have been actively undermining their credibility by criticizing their Manhattan residency. Kimmel pointed out the irony in how some Fox News hosts defended Trump during his visit to Harlem, emphasizing the love New Yorkers supposedly have for him. Kimmel even shared a photo of a sign from an adult store, the "Romantic Depot," that claimed to sell Trump-themed products, amusingly quipping about Rudy Giuliani.

Colbert, on the other hand, highlighted Trump's meeting with the Polish president, Andrzej Duda, during his trial in New York. Colbert characterized the election as a pivotal moment for American democracy and sarcastically commented on a poll that asked if Trump or President Joe Biden would win a hotdog eating contest. The survey revealed that 58% of respondents supported Trump, prompting Colbert to mention the survey's absurdity given the ongoing court case.

Interestingly, Biden triumphed in other categories such as teaching a cooking class, house-sitting, and changing a baby's diaper. Colbert jokingly remarked that this indicated a preference for care and empathy tasks, while also acknowledging the appeal of Trump's perceived strength.

Dulcé Sloan, hosting The Daily Show, celebrated the completion of jury selection for Trump's trial. Unfortunately, one juror had to be excused due to leaked personal information, including her identity, marital status, job, race, neighborhood, age, and love for dogs. Sloan criticized a CNN reporter who scolded media reports on the juror while simultaneously presenting her personal information, sarcastically pointing out the hypocrisy.

Sloan further criticized the media's handling of the juror's story, stressing the importance of responsible reporting in an age of easily accessible information. She even shared her own experience of tracking down someone based on a background detail in an Instagram story, highlighting the potential risks involved.

Late-night hosts utilized humor to critique Trump's complaints during his trial, showcased some peculiar polling data, and scrutinized the media's handling of the leaked juror's personal information. As the 2024 election approaches, these shows offer a lighthearted insight into the political landscape.
