At a Biden campaign event in Philadelphia, Kerry Kennedy, one of six siblings of RFK Jr, passionately declared her support for the US president, equating him to her late father Robert F Kennedy and late uncle President John F Kennedy.

Speaking on stage, Kerry Kennedy hailed President Biden as "my hero" and lauded his commitment to the rights and freedoms her father and uncle stood for. Referring to JFK and RFK's parents, she proudly stated, "That's why nearly every single grandchild of Joe and Rose Kennedy supports Joe Biden. That's right, the Kennedy family endorses Joe Biden for president."

In a heartfelt response, Biden expressed his deep gratitude for the Kennedy family's support, calling it "an incredible honor," second only to an introduction from his sister. Taking the opportunity to contrast visions, he condemned Donald Trump's "anger, hate, revenge, and retribution" as he pledged to embody the hope and optimism that Bobby Kennedy once exemplified.

While the Kennedy family refrained from directly mentioning RFK Jr's candidacy, Kerry Kennedy's remark that "in 2024 there are only two candidates with any chance of winning" clearly underscored their position.
