**Kelly Stafford Critiques NFL's Coverage of Taylor Swift at Chiefs Games**

Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, recently expressed her frustration with the NFL's emphasis on Taylor Swift during game broadcasts last season. According to Kelly, the league's focus on the pop superstar, who began attending Kansas City Chiefs games to support her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce, often overshadowed the football action itself.

During an episode of her podcast, "The Morning After," Kelly shared her thoughts, stating, "I've never said I dislike Taylor Swift, but the NFL's coverage of her relationship with Travis Kelce last season became excessive." Kelly clarified that she doesn't blame Taylor for the extensive TV presence, acknowledging, "It's not something she can control."

Kelly also recognized the NFL's rationale behind the coverage, admitting that featuring Taylor Swift was a smart business move for the league. However, she lamented how it sometimes made the football games seem secondary. "It felt like the games were being outshined, which was frustrating. Maybe I got a bit jealous," she confessed.

For Kelly, the primary issue was watching her husband and his colleagues, who work hard to excel in their sport, being relegated to the background. She expressed her disappointment, saying, "My husband and all the other players dedicate themselves to the league, and suddenly, they're not the main focus."

Kelly isn't the only one who found the Taylor Swift coverage during NFL games excessive. Even Taylor herself mentioned, in a December 2023 interview with TIME, that she tries to ignore the extra attention, saying, "I'm there to support Travis, and I have no awareness of how much I'm shown on TV."

Despite the criticism, Taylor continued to show her support for Travis and the Chiefs, attending several high-profile games throughout the season. Her presence at these events often sparked media attention, documenting her fashion choices, from casual outfits to game-themed attire.
