Kamala Harris' presidential campaign is making a significant move by debuting its primary advertisement, "Fearless," aimed at highlighting Harris' experience as a prosecutor while emphasizing a critical message that Donald Trump aims to reverse the country's progress. The advertisement, a part of a massive $50 million campaign in key battleground states leading up to the Democratic National Convention next month, will be broadcast on various platforms including local and national TV, cable, streaming services, and social media. Harris articulates in the ad, "This campaign is about who we fight for," emphasizing a future where everyone can thrive economically and where crucial programs like the Affordable Care Act are protected.
The Harris campaign strategically plans to air the ad during popular programs like The Bachelorette, The Simpsons, The Daily Show, and Big Brother, as well as during the upcoming Olympic Games. Shorter versions of the ad will appear on Connected TV, audio platforms, and social media to target a broader audience. Concurrently, the campaign has secured a celebrity endorsement from rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who is set to perform at a Harris rally in Atlanta, as announced on Instagram.
In response to Harris' campaign, Donald Trump's team has allocated more than $12 million for its first ad across six battleground states, specifically addressing Harris' stance on border and immigration issues. The ad criticizes Harris as "Failed. Weak. Dangerously Liberal," utilizing clips from a 2021 NBC News interview with Lester Holt, where she was questioned about her visit to the southern border. Both campaigns are intensifying their efforts as the 2024 Paris Olympics draw closer, aiming to reach a wider audience with their messages and endorsements.
