### Kamala Harris' Fox News Interview Draws Millions, Surpasses Rivals in Viewership

In a notable media appearance, Kamala Harris' interview with Fox News' Bret Baier attracted an estimated 7.1 million viewers, according to preliminary Nielsen data. This viewership significantly outmatched that of other cable news competitors. The broadcast, Harris' inaugural appearance on Fox News, also garnered 882,000 viewers in the key 25-54 age demographic.

Harris' sit-down with Baier was particularly eventful and, at times, contentious, with instances of both parties speaking over each other. In one notable moment, Harris criticized Baier for not airing a full clip where former President Donald Trump referred to his political adversaries as "the enemy within."

The interview's viewership numbers surpassed other high-profile political broadcasts in this election cycle. For comparison, CNN's interview with Harris and her running mate Tim Walz attracted 6.3 million viewers, while the full hour of "Special Report with Bret Baier" gathered 6.2 million viewers and 746,000 in the 25-54 demographic. This marked the show's highest ratings since 2020. Fox News added that an additional 1.4 million viewers tuned in for a midnight replay of the interview, pushing the total to 8.5 million.

Earlier the same day, Trump participated in a town hall event moderated by Harris Faulkner, which featured an all-female audience largely composed of his supporters. That event drew 2.9 million viewers and 338,000 in the 25-54 demographic.

Tonight, Trump is scheduled to attend the Al Smith Dinner, a fundraiser hosted by New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan. Harris, currently campaigning in Wisconsin, will not be attending in person but plans to send a video message instead. The event has traditionally seen both major party presidential candidates participate in person, often performing light-hearted comedic routines. However, such a tone may not align with Harris' current campaign messaging, which highlights the high stakes of the upcoming election. During the last in-person event in 2016, both Hillary Clinton and Trump were present, though Trump used the occasion to go on the offensive against Clinton.
