### Harris Campaign to Host Major Concert in Philadelphia on Election Eve

Preparations are in full swing for a significant Get Out the Vote concert scheduled for the night before Election Day 2024 on Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The event, spearheaded by Kamala Harris' campaign, will kick off at 5 p.m. Monday, with the vice president expected to be among the notable attendees. While performers have yet to be announced, anticipation is building as crews were seen constructing the stage near the Museum of Art on Thursday.

Philadelphia Police Department's top officials are already ensuring the event's security. Chief Inspector John Przepiorka stated, "It will be covered with both police officers in uniform - from local, state, and federal partners - and also have some plain clothes officers in the area as well to make sure we have a safe event and no issues." This site is no stranger to large events, frequently hosting celebrations such as the Thanksgiving Day Parade and the July 4th festivities.

The planned concert recalls the closing rally of Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign, held at Independence Mall, which featured performances by Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen, alongside appearances by former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. The Harris campaign has already sent out emails to supporters inviting them to RSVP for this exclusive event using a private link.

Kamala Harris' continued focus on Pennsylvania underscores the state's pivotal role in the upcoming election. Harris held six events in the swing state in October, while Donald Trump's campaign noted that he held 12 events, emphasizing Pennsylvania's crucial 19 electoral votes. Although Trump has not yet revealed his plans for the night before the election, the excitement and tension in this battleground state are palpable.

One local, J Johnson, encapsulated the atmosphere, saying, "It's just a reflection of how dynamic the city is and diverse it is, especially when you think about the local surrounding suburbs and everything." As Election Day approaches, all eyes will be on Pennsylvania and its impact on the 2024 Presidential race.
