### Jay Leno Suffers New Injuries in Unfortunate Fall Before Comedy Event

Jay Leno made a visibly battered appearance at the Comedy for Koby event in Beverly Hills on Monday night. The 74-year-old comedian showed up with a black eye, swollen face, and a bandage on his wrist. Sporting an eye patch, Leno shared his ordeal with TMZ, detailing the incident that led to his injuries.

"I was staying at a hotel on a hill and asked for a good place to eat," Leno recounted. He was told the restaurant was at the bottom of the hill, about a mile and a half away, which he decided to walk since he didn’t have a car. "The hill didn't look that steep, about 60 or 70 feet. I thought I could go down there," he explained. Unfortunately, he ended up rolling down the hill, hitting his head on a rock, which resulted in his eye injury.

Despite the fall, the former "Tonight Show" host impressively managed to perform a comedy show before heading to a Los Angeles hospital for treatment. "It happened only a couple of hours before my show," Leno said nonchalantly. "It's not that big a deal. It's all right."

Reflecting on the mishap, Leno humorously noted the persistence of his habits. "The great thing about this age is you don't learn from your mistakes. You keep doing the same stupid thing," he quipped.

This isn't Leno's first bout with serious injuries. In November 2022, he sustained third-degree burns on his face when a car he was working on in his garage caught fire. This incident required multiple skin grafts. Just two months after that, a motorcycle accident left him with multiple broken bones. The resilient comedian has made light of both prior incidents in his stand-up routines since recovering.

Furthermore, Leno has been coping with his wife Mavis' dementia battle. In April, he was officially granted conservatorship over her. However, Leno maintains a positive outlook. "We have a lot of fun," he said in an interview with Fox News Digital. "People say marriage is difficult. I don't get it. I enjoy her company. I enjoy taking care of her. We have fun. She's the most independent woman I ever knew. I just couldn't be prouder of her."
