In a dramatic incident ahead of the Penn State-Ohio State game in State College, Jason Kelce of the Eagles took decisive action against a fan's homophobic slur aimed at his brother. The moment, captured on video and widely circulated on social media, occurred as Kelce was participating in ESPN's College Gameday build-up to the big game.

The video shows Kelce moving through a crowd of fans when he is approached by a person filming and asking for a fist bump. However, the scene took a turn when a young man in the background shouted, "Hey Kelce, how does it feel knowing your brother is a (homophobic slur) dating Taylor Swift?" Immediately, Kelce stops, turns around, and appears to identify the person he believes shouted the offensive remark.

Although it’s not clear from the video whether the person in the Penn State hoodie was indeed the one who yelled, Kelce’s reaction was swift. In a second video, Kelce is seen snatching the individual's phone, smashing it on the asphalt, and then picking it up and walking away with it.

Social media responses were divided, with many supporting Kelce's actions, while others argued he should have ignored the comment and moved on. As the incident garners more attention, it is anticipated that Jason Kelce will address the matter the next time he speaks publicly.

The behavior of the fan and the university’s stance on such harassment also remain a topic of interest, particularly if the person whose phone was destroyed decides to speak out. The case sheds light on issues of sportsmanship and respect, especially when public figures are involved.
