**Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Reviews Police Conduct at Florida-Georgia Game**
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) is currently examining several online videos depicting officers using force against fans during the Florida-Georgia game at EverBank Stadium this past weekend. The game, which draws intense interest as "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party," took place on Saturday.
Mayor Donna Deegan has already addressed the situation, revealing that she has been in contact with Sheriff T.K. Waters. "I'm aware of several disturbing videos circulating from (Saturday's) game," Deegan shared on social media platform X on Sunday. "We are awaiting the outcome of that investigation."
The Sheriff's Office issued a statement on Sunday, indicating that they will refrain from commenting further until their internal review is complete. "The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office's Professional Standards Division is aware of the videos circulating from the Georgia-Florida football game. Administrative reviews of the incidents are being opened. As such, the agency will not comment until all facts are known and the reviews have been completed," the statement read.
One particularly troubling video shows two officers wrestling with spectators in the stands as other fans vocally protest the officers’ actions. Another video depicts a separate incident where a confrontation between a man and two JSO officers escalates into violence, leaving the man bloodied and in handcuffs after being repeatedly stunned with a taser.
