The al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the Deir al-Balah area, believed to house a Hamas command center, became the center of this tragic incident.

Videos from the site showed the harrowing scene where one man appeared to be burned alive, with desperate bystanders unable to assist. Gaza health officials reported that the majority of the casualties from the airstrike and subsequent blaze were women and children, many of whom sustained serious injuries.

The Israeli military confirmed that the target of their strike was a Hamas command post situated within the hospital premises. The area, crowded with tents housing families displaced by the ongoing conflict, suffered severe consequences as the strike struck amidst the humanitarian crisis.

Witnesses and survivors described chaotic scenes as medical personnel and locals scrambled to rescue those trapped in the fire, further complicating an already dire situation in a region marked by intense conflict.
