In a horrifying incident that has shocked the community, two illegal immigrant suspects have been charged with the strangulation and murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray. New court documents obtained by Fox News reveal chilling details of how the suspects allegedly lured the young girl under a bridge in Houston before tying her up and taking her life.

The accused individuals, identified as 21-year-old Johan Jose Rangel Martinez and 26-year-old Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, now face capital murder charges. Prosecutors are requesting that their bail be set at $1 million as they present evidence that paints a disturbing picture of the events leading up to Jocelyn's tragic death.

According to Harris County Assistant District Attorney Michael Abner, the suspects allegedly "lured a 12-year-old under a bridge, where he and his co-defendant remained with her for over 2 hours, took her pants off, tied her up, and killed her, then threw her body into the bayou."

Fox News previously reported that both Martinez and Ramos had entered the United States illegally and were subsequently released from custody. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has confirmed this information, stating that they both entered without inspection, parole, or admission by a US immigration officer at an undisclosed location.

The timeline leading up to the heinous act has been pieced together by investigators, who relied on surveillance footage. Houston police Lt. Stephen Hope reveals that Rangel Martinez and Pena Ramos were observed before and after the murder.

Authorities have discovered that Jocelyn had sneaked out of her family's apartment to meet her 13-year-old boyfriend. The boyfriend reported hearing her converse with two individuals while on the phone. The suspects, Martinez and Ramos, had initially gone to a restaurant together that evening before meeting Nungaray and engaging in conversation. The trio later proceeded to a nearby convenience store before ultimately walking together to the bridge where the murder occurred. Following the tragic act, the suspects returned to their shared apartment, leaving the girl's body behind.

Houston Mayor John Whitmire expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, highlighting the fact that Jocelyn had been a bright young girl. It is believed that Martinez and Ramos lived in the same apartment complex as Nungaray.

As the community mourns the loss of this innocent child, law enforcement officials are determined to bring justice to Jocelyn's family. The case raises questions about border security and the release of individuals who enter the country illegally, sparking a nationwide debate on immigration policies.

Both suspects remain in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings as the investigation unfolds.
