In an exciting partnership announcement on Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns franchise revealed that their stadium will now bear the name Huntington Bank Field. The agreement, which runs for a remarkable 20 years, will even carry over if the Browns decide to open a new stadium in the future, such as the proposed dome in Brook Park just outside the city limits.

Dee and Jimmy Haslam, owners of the Browns, expressed their enthusiasm for the long-term partnership with Ohio's own Huntington Bank. The Haslams stated, "We are thrilled to reach a long-term partnership agreement with Ohio's own Huntington Bank. Huntington Bank has a long-standing reputation of excellence and they continue to grow both regionally and nationally, while keeping their roots here in Ohio. Giving back to the community and a focus on education are two of the many attributes that bond our organizations, and we look forward to working with Huntington to make positive impacts in Northeast Ohio and beyond. We're excited to call the home of the Cleveland Browns Huntington Bank Field."

The chairman, president, and CEO of Huntington Bank, Steve Steinour, also expressed his excitement for the collaboration, stating, "Whether in the existing stadium or a new one, the Browns' commitment to Northeast Ohio will continue to spur significant economic growth and development for years to come, and we are excited to be a part of that future."

This renaming marks the third time the venue has changed its name since it first opened its doors in 1999. Originally known as Cleveland Browns Stadium, it reached an agreement in 2013 to be called FirstEnergy Stadium. However, due to a bribery scandal involving FirstEnergy, the naming-rights contract was terminated in April of last year, despite being scheduled to run through 2029. The facility then temporarily reverted to being called Cleveland Browns Stadium for the 2023 season.

The new name, Huntington Bank Field, will officially debut when the Browns take on the Cowboys on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET. It symbolizes a significant partnership between the football team and Huntington Bank, highlighting their shared values and dedication to making a positive impact on Northeast Ohio's community and beyond. With this exciting development, football fans can look forward to cheering for the Cleveland Browns at the newly named Huntington Bank Field for years to come.
