A woman named Cristiana Bársony-Arcidiacono, whose company was associated with the recent explosive pager incidents in Lebanon and Syria, is currently being safeguarded by the Hungarian secret services, as per her mother's statement to The Associated Press. Following the deadly attacks targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah, allegedly orchestrated by Israel, Cristiana has not made any public appearances, remaining under the protection of the Hungarian authorities. Operating as the CEO of Budapest-based BAC Consulting, Cristiana's company came under scrutiny after it was revealed to be connected to the manufacture of the explosive devices used in the attacks.

Beatrix Bársony-Arcidiacono, Cristiana's mother, shared with the AP that her daughter had received threats and is currently in a secure location shielded by the Hungarian secret services. Allegedly advised not to engage with the media by the Hungarian secret services, Cristiana's whereabouts have attracted attention amidst the aftermath of the attacks that claimed the lives of at least 37 individuals and left over 3,000 others injured, including civilians. While Hezbollah and the Lebanese government have pointed fingers at Israel for the attacks, the nation has not officially acknowledged any involvement.

According to business records accessed by CBS News, BAC Consulting was officially registered as a company in May 2022. The mother reiterated that her daughter was not directly involved in the production process of the pagers and merely acted as a broker, with the items never passing through Hungary. Providing an official address in Budapest, BAC Consulting shares premises with other enterprises but reportedly lacks physical offices at the location. Specializing in various fields such as environment, development, and international affairs as claimed on their website, the company's registry lists a multitude of official functions.
