In a recent announcement, Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that rebel forces, supported by Iran, have successfully shot down three American MQ-9 drones in the past 72 hours. The most recent attack occurred over Saada province in Yemen, where the rebels claim the drone was conducting "hostile reconnaissance and combat operations."

Saree, in a video statement released by the Houthis, highlighted that this was the second MQ-9 drone of the same model downed within the past three days. Overall, this marks the ninth drone that the rebels have successfully targeted since pledging their support to the Palestinian cause.

The Houthi spokesperson made it clear that their actions would continue until the attacks ceased and the blockade on Gaza was lifted. Saree also emphasized the unity among groups opposing Israel and commended Maher Dhiab Hussein al-Jazi, a Jordanian terrorist who carried out a deadly attack at the Allenby Crossing, claiming the lives of three Israelis.

Saturday's official statement by Saree mentioned the downing of another U.S. drone in the Marib province. The Houthi spokesperson alleged that the drone was involved in "hostile operations in the airspace."

Furthermore, the Houthis previously declared intercepting a U.S. drone of the same model using a locally made surface-to-air missile back in May. Videos capturing the drone's crash were circulated on local networks, strengthening their claims.

These recent attacks further highlight the ongoing tensions between the Houthi rebels and the United States. The downing of American drones not only showcases the rebels' capabilities but also raises concerns about the growing influence of Iranian-backed forces in the region.

The United States has yet to officially respond to these claims by the Houthi rebels. However, these incidents serve as a reminder of the volatile situation in Yemen, where various factions continue to engage in conflicts, destabilizing the region and posing a threat to international security.

As developments unfold, experts and officials will closely monitor the situation to assess the impact and implications of these drone attacks on regional stability and international relations.
