### Gunfire Erupts on Black Friday at Arkansas Mall, Two Injured

In an unexpected turn of events on Black Friday, two people were injured in a shooting at Park Plaza Mall in Little Rock, Arkansas, according to local authorities. This incident took place at 1:44 p.m. and has been characterized by Little Rock police as an isolated episode rather than an active shooter situation. The authorities believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between two individuals that rapidly escalated.

Both of the injured parties are expected to recover fully, and no arrests have been made at this time. Initially, Little Rock Police Chief Heath Helton indicated in a news conference that responding officers found one injured person at the scene, while two additional people arrived at the hospital later. However, this was later clarified to indicate that only one victim was transported to a hospital by private vehicle.

The specifics of the altercation remain unclear. Troy Daniell, a manager at Journey's Kidz shoe store in the mall, recounted the frightening moment when he heard the shots. "I got all of the customers that were in my store out of there. I got them all in the back of the store and out of there. When I heard the first [shot] I thought something may have fallen, but then I heard a few more shots and immediately understood what was happening," Daniell told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. released a statement condemning the incident. "The careless, senseless, and criminal actions of two individuals today jeopardized the lives and safety of residents and visitors. We are praying for the victims of this incident and hoping they make a full recovery," he said.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement officials are working to piece together the exact circumstances that led to the shooting on what is typically one of the year's busiest shopping days.
