**Greta Thunberg Joins Demonstration Against Georgian Government in Tbilisi**

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg took part in a political demonstration in Tbilisi on Monday, lending her voice to the opposition against Georgia's government. Thunberg expressed her support for activists and citizens fighting for fundamental rights such as freedom, justice, and democracy.

The demonstration follows Georgia's parliamentary elections held on October 26, where the pro-Moscow Georgian Dream party maintained power with nearly 54 percent of the vote. Opposition parties and President Salome Zourabichvili have challenged the election results, citing allegations of intimidation, vote-buying, and fraud, and have promised to overturn the outcome.

Greta Thunberg voiced her concerns over the situation, describing the developments in Georgia as "authoritarian." She praised the resilience of the Georgian people, who continue to take to the streets to express their dissatisfaction despite facing repression. Thunberg was seen wearing a keffiyah, symbolizing her solidarity with Palestinians under Israeli occupation, a cause for which she has also been active and arrested earlier this year.

Local media reported that opposition leaders had announced the rally a few days in advance, marking it as the second significant protest since the elections. This political unrest has drawn international attention, particularly after the European Commission's critical progress report on Georgia's aspirations for EU membership, which has since been stalled.

During the rally, Giorgi Vashadze of the opposition United National Movement declared it a "week of resistance marches" throughout Tbilisi. He demanded new elections and rejected the legitimacy of the current parliament, warning that protests would continue to escalate. Vashadze emphasized the collective responsibility to join the fight against the contested election results and the present government.
