In an official update, former President Donald Trump's former doctor, Dr. Ronny Jackson, has revealed that Trump is doing well and recovering as expected from the gunshot wound he sustained last Saturday afternoon. This update comes after initial treatment at Butler Memorial Hospital, where doctors conducted a thorough evaluation, including a CT scan of his head, to assess additional injuries.

Dr. Jackson stated that further evaluations, such as a comprehensive hearing exam, will be conducted as needed. Trump will also follow up with his primary care physician as directed by the doctors who initially evaluated him. This letter from Dr. Jackson marks the first official update on Trump's condition since the night of the shooting.

As a staunch supporter of Trump, Dr. Jackson expressed deep concern for the former president's wellbeing following the attack. He personally met with Trump in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Saturday night after his return from Pennsylvania, offering his assistance in any way possible. Since then, Dr. Jackson has been closely monitoring and treating Trump's wound on a daily basis.

Highlighting Trump's resilience, Dr. Jackson noted that the former president traveled to Michigan on Saturday for his first rally since the shooting. Joined by his newly named running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, Trump will address his supporters at the event.

It's worth mentioning that the current status of Dr. Jackson's medical license remains unclear. There has been no immediate response from his spokesperson or the Trump campaign regarding this matter. However, records from the American Board of Emergency Medicine indicate that Dr. Jackson holds a certification in Emergency Medicine valid through the end of 2015.

It's important to note that just last year, Trump's campaign released a letter from Dr. Bruce A. Aronwald, a New Jersey physician, stating that he had been Trump's doctor since 2021. The significance of this letter, especially on President Joe Biden's birthday, raises questions about the former president's medical consultations.

As Trump continues his recovery from the gunshot wound, the support and updates provided by his former doctor, Dr. Ronny Jackson, shed light on his progress and reassure supporters about his wellbeing.
